  1. Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection (STI)

    It can be easily treated

  2. If you have unprotected sex (have sex and do not use a condom) you may get Gonorrhoea
  3. Men and women can get Gonorrhoea
  4. Most women and some men do not show any symptoms of Gonorrhoea
  5. Symptoms

    If you have any of the following symptoms speak to your doctor or nurse

  6. Women may have

    Discharge from the vagina

    Pain when peeing

  7. Bleed after sex
  8. Bleeding may be heavier during periods


    You may bleed in between periods

  9. Men may have

    Pain when peeing

  10. Discharge from penis (yellow or green in colour)
  11. Pain or swelling in your balls (testes)
  12. When having sex always use a condom
  13. Especially if you have a new partner
  14. To get free condoms go to the doctor (GP), local clinic or chemist.
